Missionary Team Work

A personally tutored correspondence course offered by the Missionary Training Service 
(a member organisation of Global Connections - the Evangelical Missionary Alliance).

This course makes sure that we develop the necessary interpersonal and team skills for successful missionary service for our Lord Jesus Christ.  Ideally, all members of the missionary team should do the course together.  The syllabus covers:

bulletConfirming your gifts
bulletDefining a team and valuing its advantages
bulletForming a team 
bulletAgreeing team working arrangements
bulletAgreeing an action plan
bulletDeveloping the roles of team leader and members
bulletBuilding a strong team
bulletCaring for the missionary family
bulletPartnering successfully with your home church and your missionary agency
bulletDeveloping useful team meetings
bulletUsing time effectively
bulletAvoiding common pitfalls
bulletWithstanding culture shock
bulletDeveloping prayer and spiritual warfare
bulletEnlisting prayer partners and giving supporters
bulletTaking care of practical matters (taxes, etc.)
bulletMaintaining moral purity
bulletDealing with emergencies
bulletVisiting your home country
bulletMoving on to other work.

The course costs GB £85 and includes workbooks and personal guidance through telephone and email tutorials.
